Dritte Installation GFK Liner unter der Weichsel in Krakau, DN 1200

The Akwa company from Zabrze has once again successfully carried out work on the rehabilitation of a concrete siphon under the Vistula River. 283 metres of 1200 mm diameter UV-cured fibreglass sleeve were installed in one section. The recipient of the work is the Krakow Municipal Water and Sewage Company.
Work stages:
- unblocking the entrance to the chambers
- cleaning the siphon trap
- pulling in the skidding sheet
- pulling in a fibreglass sleeve soaked in resins from the side of Miedziana Street - tube weight 31 tonneswall thickness not less than 16.8 mm
- introduction of UV lamps
- sleeve stabilisation
- UV curing of the sleeve
The installation process was completed on 3 October 2018, with a TV inspection the following day; both the inspection and the subsequent examination of the sleeve cuttings confirmed exemplary performance.
