Trenchless repairs are a modern and effective alternative to traditional methods, allowing networks to be rehabilitated without interfering with above-ground infrastructure.
The method involves placing a special resin-soaked mat wrapped around a flexible balloon (pacer) at the site of the damage. Once the pacer is precisely positioned inside the pipe - exactly where the leak or crack is - the balloon is inflated and presses the mat against the canal walls. Once the resin has cured, a durable, leak-proof and damage-resistant 'patch' is formed inside the pipe.
